B.Summarize of Article
Population Education is the program that educating people about problematic and solving population in addition to educate people about population problem. Population Education is one of the program education in Indonesia. In secondary schools, this subject was integrated by goverment into six main subjects based by class.
This program mostly need a role from teacher. Because, teacher is the main character in class collaborate with student. Malik, Murtaza, and Khan (2011, p. 784) says, teacher responsibility for class-controling, ensuring teaching process inputs, and interpersonal relationship. Meanwhile, the students is a receiver and implementate to their colleagues and teacher.
The implementation of this program, was written by the author, is mostly satisfying for students itself. It's revealed from topic the efficiency of population education learning. And it was supported from mass media and technology that student easily discovered the topic or main problem. But, this program also have a opposite responds.Especialy from the students opinion that related to the evaluation of process itself containing few items about that program. Teacher only have included few that program to their assigment and exams. Also from inadequate time for allocation in population education program
Eventually, population education program is not appropriate in senior high school that included limited quota for this program and insufficent for allocation time in this program.And,if this program want to more intensively it needs to allocated more time to this program, goverment should support this program, and teacher consistently teach student about population education.
